Sol
Helium and hydrogen orb,
toasty yellow wonder of the world.
Whether it smiles warmly,
or rains down heated arrows,
a wonder.
A mighty glow,
violet as it waves goodbye,
now it is time for night.
My eyes stay open,
waiting for the warmth.
When it returns,
my grin matches
the strong glow.
The yellow buttery light,
coming up slowly
at the highest point of its journey,
the plants,
the animals,
me,
we all absorb
the heat,
the warmth.
Sol, the soul of the solar system.
